I've added a new theme to the forum which gives it a clean, fresh new look, while remaining usable on mobile devices too.

Members are invited to try it out and give feedback!

Click/tap the link below to be taken to the Theme Selector (link only works for logged in members)
https://wmbusphotos.com/forum/index.php?action=theme;sa=pick

Under 'WMBIP 2022' click the Use This Theme button to activate it.

Have a look and let me know what you think?

If its not to your liking, you can always revert back using the above link and select the default theme.

I think the main issue for me is that the text seems to be too large on mobile devices (at least for my liking). Apart from that it seems okay so far.

I agree, its a very nice theme and gives the forum a modern, clean look, and while my eyesight isn't what it used to be, even on a desktop PC, the font size for post text seemed a bit excessive!

So I have now made a change to the theme files, and managed to slightly reduce the font size used in posts. I think it looks better now.

The only two other things:

1) It seems like you've missed the reply numbers!

2) I don't suppose you could bring back the navigation menu? It made it much more eaiser to navigate around the forum.

I've added attachments to show what I mean

1) I will have a look through the CSS file as there's nothing obvious that controls that size

2) The top main menu is there, on mobile devices, tap the 'three lines' menu icon to expand it: You cannot view this attachment.

Another theme for 2023 now available for members to use!

The 'WMBIP 2023' theme updates the look of the default SMF theme, and also includes the option of switching to 'dark mode'. (click the 'sun' icon at the top left to change)

There is also an option to choose a different colour scheme if desired, click on the 'palette' icon at top right to change it.

Instructions are the same as in the opening post.

Dark mode is greatly appreciated (although the quick reply box at the bottom of the screen is still white). I'll leave it on for a bit to see how things go.

Thanks, Stu!
