There's been a number of the alx200 small darts on the 405/6 recently and at peak times these routes can see double deckers so i bet it was a tight squeeze using these buses, but a smaller bus is better than no bus i suppose

Bigger buses are better for certain routes e,g, 75/75/405/406, but WB have placed Dennis Darts on the 74/75, it quite funny of how the Darts reach full capacity before leaving Birmingham ;D ;D

No they haven't put Darts on the 74/75! I think there has been about one in the last 6 months covering a breakdown

wilmotm (Matt Wilmot)

Your right there, I have never seen anything but a B7TL or a Gemini on the 74, though a couple of photos of Merc's on the route have appeared though not regularly whatsover as I'm in Dudley every day

Ash

Yeah i have never saw a dart on the 74/75 but i have seen one on the 87, they are quite rare to see on other routes apart from the normal ones they operate they do occasionally appear on the 428/9

Ash

I havent seen a merc on the full length 74 for ages and not suprised they wouldnt be able to cope with capacity especially as there now every 10 minutes between West Brom and Dudley

MW

Remember the dart on the 1! Looked cute haha

Ash

Yes forgot about them being on the 1 wasnt that when the darts worked the same running board as the president when there was a cricket match at Edgbaston CC also they were used on the 17 at Bordesley

Stu

AG had two Darts on loan for a time to operate a shuttle service while the 11 was on diversion and one did appear on an extra working of the 1 during a test series at Edgbaston, and yes Tony does have a pic of one sneaking onto the 17:

There was a photo of the one on the 1, what happened to that one Tony?

They used to sneak onto the 17 quite a bit while at Bordesley.

276/X96 don't operate evenings and sundays but both are fully operated by Mercs. More B7RLE's are appearing on the 246. Yesterday there was an Enviro400 on the X96 around 5pm in Stourbridge

winston

Ashley, I think you'll find that the 276 & X96 work both evenings & Sundays

There were 3 hybrid versa's on the 404E today 30128-9 and 30134 it is unusual to see more than one on the service.

Never saw them on the 16 or 401E are you sure they werent the solo's as i have only saw them personally on the 002,56,404E,410 and 417

Ashley

Yeah they do operate but I think they are operated by other operators like Diamond, unless thats changed. There was  a Merc or two on the 74 sometime last year but having Darts on it would be impossible
