Wonder what they're doing with WA 9?

Surely it can't be any worse than what it is now, on behalf of my sister!

As far as tfwm website say its the PN9 that's having a timetable change and it has the new timetable and the WA9 has the current timetable only and isn't changing

Well someone is wrong, as the Nx site says otherwise!

Having checked the new 41 timetable for elderly relatives, I cant see a 41 arriving at the QE at 0918 hanging around til 1005 to return. I suspect some 46 interworking but with needing a couple of buses (and drivers) fewer

41 reduced to hourly
46 remains half hourly between Northfield & Hawkesley, hourly between Hawkesley and QE Hospital

I would imagine there will still be some interworking involved.

41 - Acocks Green to QE
46 - QE to Northfield
46E - Northfield to Hawkesley
46 - Hawkesley to Northfield
46 - Northfield to QE
41 - QE to Acocks Green
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

I did notice that the 54 says the new operator is yet to be confirmed but the timetable page shows a NX timetable from the 5.12

I'm sure if they felt it was commercially viable though they would do as you seem to be saying and  "continued to run that part comercially  or if it was possible amend another service to cover well used sections".
I doubt they will have taken these changes or any decision to remove a service lightly.

The 54 has been tendered along with the 96.  The tender closing date is tomorrow.

On the tfwm website the reduction to hourly frequency on the 46 has been put against the 46 West Brom to Scott Arms.

And they still think duplicate numbers doesn't cause confusion!

Looking at the timetables, it's seems that the 41/46 will interwork at the QE as now with one bus doing the Northfield to Hawkesley short journeys.

Probably around 4 buses on 46 4 on 41 might be wrong or super super inaccurate

Noticed just now that the 54 and 96 have disappeared off TfWM's list of changes:
https://www.tfwm.org.uk/plan-your-journey/ways-to-travel/buses-in-the-west-midlands/upcoming-bus-changes/

Tenders won by NXWM perhaps?

No tenders (when announced) would start 2nd January. As that list was for December 5th changes that'll be why its removed

The TfWM page clearly stated that a new operator would be taking over daytime journeys on the 96 from 5th December, with the new operator yet to be announced.

Given that this is basically at the end of next week & the tender round only went in today with no results as of yet, it would be totally unrealistic to expect another operator to be in place by 5th December

I was asking about the 'emergency tenders' for the 54 and 96.
