Finnaly got an agreement settled then

77 is supposed to be going (apart from Sunday tendered journeys I presume)

I was told the 77 will survive until at least April I hope.

Will Claribels 36 be going back to the old route with the 41 going?

I went through the listings on the government site by changing the end of the url to go up and down the pages.

Only the 41/46 is listed as cancelled so far, the others are listed as "variation". Variation could well mean "removal of all non-tendered services" although some of the services are listed as receiving no subsidy.

Hopefully the bustimes scrape will happen in the next day or two so more information will appear on there in lieu of an NX announcement.

The 77, 54 and 96 are all listed as in part.

Those other routes listed as variation with no subsidy,  6, 61/63, 94/95, 14, 49, 9, are unlikely to be withdrawn without replacement anyway as they carry high passenger numbers.
In the peak hours and even today the 94/95 and 14 stands in the City Centre are packed.

Yes

Saves Diamond having to repaint the current 31/32 buses after all then!

I have just read this thread.  All operators have been invited to attend Bus Service Improvement Plans calls "BSIP".  On the last all operator call last week, TfWM said they had a lot of emergency tenders due imminently.

We have yet to receive any of the details, to we have no idea what services this involves, but it could be to cover some of the variations/ cancellations you are talking about.

Not planned to as there are more passengers on the new route than the old route along foremans rd

Variation means just that, a 'variation', either a timetable or route change. Those routes you list aren't being withdrawn, just having timetable changes.

In the case of the 96, the variation would appear to be a timetable change that involves the removal of commercial journeys, leaving just the subsidised ones.

Now the thing is that most of us here (excluding those 'in the know') won't know exactly which journeys are subsidised and which aren't.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

I know PB96 is tendered evenings and Sundays as it was registered to be withdrawn around 2018/2019 then reinstated.
