Sorry this isn't the West Midlands, nor the UK, but this thread has reminded me of a holiday I took in Rhodes (Greece) in 2017.

I stayed in the coastal town of Ialysos, which had a 'road train' running around the town. I took a ride on it one afternoon, was very pleasant!
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Mablethorpe have both a Land train & a Sand train (along the beach) connecting the holiday camps with the town centre. Both compete against the Stagecoach bus & the pirate bus

Anyone remember the Duck Marine, especially in Liverpool!

I've done a freedom of information request and here are all of the permits which have been offered for land trains in England and Wales which use public roads. May be useful to some people here.
