Jeez imagine having ya name on the o licence for compliance  :police:

If chaserider purchased new E400 Mmcs with WiFi, wooden flooring, leather seats, panoramic roof and charging points and ran every 5 minutes you and Bob would still find something to moan about. Maybe the shade of red would be wrong. You 2 are just sitting on your keyboards waiting for something bad to happen. Sad really

really ..... go and try and rely on a service that keeps failing then. one word  COMPLIANCE!! its a condition of an operators licence and responsibility of the named TM on said licence to adhere to.  read up on it may be whilst waiting  your frequent failed to operate registered bus service perhaps:-)

I use the 828 often for work it's a mixed bag of buses, some on time, some late, some missing altogether - as a user you want consistency. I've caught an ex Arriva solo (181) home a couple of times this week on the 1820 from Stafford and it's been fine as not very busy. Mix of new old and very old bigger vehicles generally - as long ad their fit they don't need to be brand new. It does seem odd to see brand new buses on the 826 and 827 though if the longer distance 828 is struggling.

Chaserider won't be bothered though as our current bunch of traffic commissioners are overpaid, lazy, spineless, wastes of space. The number of bus operators called up to public inqiary due to failing to operate services in line with registration is extremely low. I reported Stagecoach South Wales a few years back when they were cancelling upto 700 trips per week, and nothing happened from the Traffic Commissioner. They don't care for enforcing buses. IF they did, we would have a damn sight less cowboy operators operating buses.

With an attitude like that, it's no wonder bus passenger numbers are in a downward spiral falling year on year....

Bus numbers are dropping year on year because more people own cars not because I've told a constant moaner to purchase one. Is constant moaning about 1 company constructive or helping to put bums on seats?

I take it you own and drive a car and don't rely on the bus?

2 cars and a bike. But that has nothing to do with it. I also live in London.

Is running ( or failing to run) an absolute s#itshow of a service on a DAILY basis a way to get buns on seats? The exact same knackered buses that failed yesterday and failed earlier in the week , one being that abysmal Scania 748 which went round with a front panel literally hanging off for a week ( probably still has) broke down again this morning in service. I think its failed pretty much every day this week. Its an embarrassment to be fair

748 never had a panel hanging off. It was secure!

It was still hanging off the front, even if it was tied on. Looked a right state.

There will be another new bus entering service soon
