Coventry to Warwick Uni via rail station.
15 min service to compete with NXC.

Perfect excuse for NXC to extend the 20 to Nuneaton and compete on that!

NXC doubled the 11 to Leamington in September to every 15 minutes, so maybe the U12 has been put on because of that.

Traveline shows that the route of the U12 will be the the same as NXC 12X - as would be expected.

Sounds like an ideal opportunity to try out an enhanced quality partnership where tickets are inter available with an integrated headway.

Can't see NX going for that. At the moment they have the direct Uni to City Centre link to themselves, a EQP would automatically hand a share of the market over to Stagecoach.

Only if a period of intense competition ensures with NX thinking they are in danger of losing permanent market share would they be likely to go for that.

Going to be interesting to watch how this rolls out.

Not looking good so far.
All the U12's I have seen so far are pretty much empty?
Are the ticket prices dearer than NXC?

These days students have NX period passes downloaded onto their phones, which they wave at drivers (no Ticketer here!) The days of Pool Meadow Travel Centre being called "The job centre" after long queues of students at start of terms are part of transport history!

Originally, SC and NX had a verbal agreement that SC will not step on their territory, as in the university, besides the U1. Since having new management within the last 1-2 years, SC have gone back on their word and created the U12, hence the wars between SC and NXC
