4363 gave up this morning on the 76E which I caught. Sounded fine all the way from Solihull until a loud alarm started in the cab just after turning onto Wheelers Lane. Made it to Kings Heath high street in the bus lane when we stopped, the engine cut out and the majority of the lights went out. It was clear we'd broken down. It was fortunate it broke down there as it was at the end of the route virtually and that it was the 76E not the 76. Although YW will have had to send out a bus for the 863 from the Garage to Lighthall. Driver was very good though; very friendly and apologized for the problem. Even joking that he needed a newer bus to us!

4031 broke down on an 11A today, on Westley Road, outside the garage

P419 EJW

Saw a Merc tilted on one side, it was parked by the bus stop, it looked like it had a problem with the suspension springs thingy. It was on 25C. I could not remember the fleet number, unfortunately. I think it was a 167*... Anyway, it was weird seeing the bus being tilted to one side. I'm surprised the bus hasn't fallen on one side! Crikey.

1640 spent ages parked with hazards on in Hayley Green at the stop opposite Spar this afternoon

Whilst on 900, a loud beep kept going off on 4903 sounded like the same beep you get when the exit door is open

Edit : air brakes pressure In red hence the beep
Got to Coventry though
Driver pressed the button to call garage but no response

I highly doubt a driver would be driving a bus with the air pressure warning permanently sounding, low air pressure is also a continual sound not a bleeping

Indeed.

Sounds more like platform not risen/malfunction alarm. Or on those 49xx on the 900 you go round a corner and the low water alarm comes on! Obviously goes off as soon as the bus is at the correct angle again.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.
