Obvious sack. You'll get the sack just for holding it in the cab with the bus isolated now.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

1446 has had its connection bars removed, and the side logos moved to the place where they are in the recent single decker repaints (not the best of pics, but...)

I noticed this the other day. It looks as if it has been partially repainted

The white does look like a fresh coat. The windows also look like they have been refurbished, with the  lack on 'No Smoking' stickers on them, which they had before

Looks very smart. Hard to believe the B10Ls are 16 to 17 years old, the design is timeless which is more than can be said for the Mercs. Whilst the Mercs have been decent buses in many respects they certainly ain't easy on the eye.

You can't fault the Wright Liberator bodywork, it has aged extremely well. The B10L's still look far more modern than their years especially the last of the batch that were refurbished.

The Mercs are very boxlike / square looking, they have certainly served the West Midlands well, but they are dropping like flys much quicker than the Volvo/Wright counterparts have. Have any any B10L's ever sustained fire damage? I can't think of any instances.....

Ashley

There have never been any B10L fires I don't think. The only one thats ever been badly damaged is 1425 when it had it's accident back in 2011. Apart from that they've done well considering they weren't expected to see 2014

When we visited Walsall, i noticed on the board that 1446 was shown as being at Carlyle Bus & Coach.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

The 89 has been B7RLE operated today (1754 was one of the two buses)

I seem to remember the 89/301/2 were fully dd operated last year on Boxing Day?

Thought those routes would have operated with B7RLE's like Sundays

Probably didn't wanna risk a single on the 77 with Boxing Day shoppers travelling between Sutton & Walsall. Would I be right assuming the 6 was dd today too?

Yes 6 interworks with the 10/77 so 4680/2,4737 and 4776 were the buses on there today
