I was at Walsall garage today doing my driver training and noticed a "POG" Metrobus by the paint shop? What's the story behind that?

Was it 'POG 577Y' in white? If so, I think that is owned by West Midlands Police as a community bus. It is stored at Walsall.

Is there a old TWM Metrobus parked there as well or is my memory deceiving me?

Well anyway I definitely heard a Metrobus being fired up, whether it was a training one or not.

Rode 1430 on the 69 on the 12:25 departure from Wolverhampton. Its on Running Board W69/04

582 possible replacement for 516

1430 possible cover for 4129 then after we will see what replaces.

547 is back repaired after accident damage.

1430 was a Walsall resident Oct 2007-June 2010

Lynx1103, you may stand a chance of WA getting 1468 direct from PB, but as the others are already in reserve I would have thought they are now unlikely to see further service

I would like all B10L in reserve put back into service to replace 15xx merc. I think there in better condition then them. Some only had refurbed 2009-2010 . Make the B10L last until 2015.

It would be nice to see 1468 back at WA.

Lynx1103, I have to agree with you there, the B10L's are one of my favourites.

How do they fair reliability wise these days now they're getting on?

Not going into gears

Loosing Air Pressure

But now they seem quite a reliable bus.

Just the odd one seems to break down now.

There's only 2 I don't like

1421-Sharpe breaking (Retarder)
1474- Rough Gear Changing

They seem to be good solid buses, I think part of the problem why they are not attractive to other operators is that very few were sold in the UK, Volvo soon moved on to the B10BLE.

Dundee's 7142 & 7150 are thought to have been sold on for further service, Western Greyhound has been suggested but that destination has since been ruled out.....

Was on 1433 today and it was fabulous it really was, quick, smart and honestly not a single rattle, better than every Merc I've been on and rattled less than 5512 I used to get home!

Was on 1433 today and it was fabulous it really was, quick, smart and honestly not a single rattle, better than every Merc I've been on and rattled less than 5512 I used to get home!

I rode 1433 today too, on the 14:55 departure from Walsall, loved it! It's now my favourite B10L. Definitely the fastest B10L I've ever been on. I usually prefer the Voith B10Ls over the ZF ones but this one is an exception.

Was still out when I was in WA + Have most of the NX WA buses been washed, as I was in WA today an seen alot of clean buses, not that there dirty but they looked fairly new
