Wasn't 4105 brought to Walsall for a contract service or something similar? I thought I read it wasn't for normal service. Hopefully it is out next week when I get back

Spotted a X51 branded vehicle on the 934 earlier in Walsall.

Surely it should be a generic Platinum branded vehicle?

It happens pretty much everyday and it's mentioned like it's a crime. If they subbed it for a B10L then I could understand. Its like people moaning about Arriva Streetlites on the 110. No drop in service quality, just promotes other services

Walsall have 182 buses for a PVR of 163 exactly in line with NX's spares policy and have put a full service out every day. That means 19 engineering spares or buses that can be off the road at any time. If all 40 Platinums are serviceable and 19 other buses are due inspection or off the road then spare Platinums will be used, the same as BC send them out on the 829 / 9 some days

With 4105, the only President at Walsall as far as I'm aware, being used on regular services is there an issue in finding drivers who a type trained for this vehicle?

I believe all 3 B7TL vehicles are the same to drive. WA already have plentiful of Geminis and ALX400 so a Plaxton shouldn't be too much of a stretch !

Differences between Plaxton and Gemini is the interior lighting is overhead on the Geminis, and on the actual dash for Plaxton. Master switch on Plaxton is a turn switch, like a key, but a button on Gemini. The door controls have a "open" and "close" and "open wing" button. Gem is one button to open and close. The heater buttons are different, and overall cab is smaller with a bigger steering wheel, and you can't stretch your left leg in a Plaxton, but can on Gemini. Also the Plaxtons don't have a foot pedal to open doors. Also the wing mirrors are mounted in a position that a lot of passengers bash there head on them on the way out.

That's the main stuff.

Nope not a one off, there were two on there on Tuesday (6751/55)
