What's that enviro 400 next to it with no front blinds in. And yeah I have seen 4959 up close it's a shame they couldn't do something with it to maybe do open top bus shuttles around Birmingham or something (serious idea not being sarcy)

Would probably still need a half roof or repair and modifying before NX sold it on as no doubt it has been declared a write off so all the Paperwork and it's Sorn status would have to be sorted. NX wouldn't run Open Top Buses.

Wouldn't necessarily need a roof putting back on, some companies run buses with a complete open top, Skegness I know run them with half open they used the E400 hybrids, it's a shame something couldn't be done to its 4959 and yeah unfortunately Nx won't operate open top buses, but would of been a good idea for a Birmingham tour bus or something.

NX/TWM had two open top buses for private hire (2028/2938??)and did very little work (arguably 2028 was a bag of nails). Any company that has specialist assets needs to make them work - a bus stood still is a bus not earning, which is next to useless, unless you move into niche private hire work (like Green BUs did with their convertible open topper).
Autofare 3 - the ticket that laughs in the face of contactless!

Yes but for Birmingham you could operate a Hybrid Roof on Roof off and would need a roof. Either because of the sun or Rain. We are quite far inland so have a mixture of both

It was 2939 that became the open top Mk2 Metrobus @Wumpty as I believe 2938 has been preserved complete with roof

I take it looking on bustimes that the 7/10 services no longer interact with each other.

Taking in to consideration that Walsall garage now has 8 tridents I was surprised to see two Scania single deckers on the X51 today. I would have thought there would have been enough double deckers now to cover routes like that.

These are also Euro 6 so are allowed into City.
