I'm not knowledgeable on Trains but getting into Wolverhampton for 7:25 when I live Stechford seems awfully long and tiring

I'm thinking of the Arriva service 1

Just at that point the only route that sprung to mind, I apologise for not knowing all routes to Cannock.

It goes from a stop outside the job centre, virtually opposite where the buses go into the main part of the bus station

You would need to be on the 07:10 X51 from Birmingham to Walsall to properly connect with the 08:08 1 to Cannock, the next X51 from Birmingham only arrives 3 mins before the 1 leaves which might not be enough to get to Hatherton Road, and the next 1 doesn't get to Cannock till after 9.  Or, just get the 08:07 train from New Street to Cannock arriving 08:43...

Try Traveline west midlands. Put in Stechford to Cannock arrive by 9 and you get the 14, the Outer Circle and other routes you'd never think of. Good entertainment when there's not much on telly!

I remember doing that trying to find the best route from Bloxwich to Great Bridge by bus.

It came up with changing at Stone Cross I seem to recall.
