What do you mean by nicest?

Claribels 94, would be the quietest route to take from Birmingham to Chelmsley Wood and rather fast as it stops at less stops than the NX 94 (picks up less passengers). They also operate a few peak trips on the 55 using the E200.
NX 94 and 55  - are alright, never had a problem on any of them, using them regularly.
70/X70 - Is a rather nice route through Water Orton and Coleshill.
NX X12 -  Never had a problem using the X12 either.

Local Routes
94/95, 11A/11C, 28.

NX 97 seems alright as well when i've used in the past, though I don't use that route very often.

I'd say use the X12 or a Claribels service. The rest of the routes are scummy.

You clearly don't use them then.
I've used them for years, never had a problem. They're not unpleasant, he's very unlikely to have any problem catching a 55/94 or 97 from Birmingham City Centre to Chelmsley.
They seem the same as most of the other main busy routes into Birmingham to me, X3/X4/X5, etc.

I agree the  Claribels 94 or X12/70 are the best routes to get, the 55 is a nice route with the Omnilinks.

How come you've missed the 14 off that? The 94/97 aren't the nicest at all, the 14 is fine once you get past Alum Rock Road.

The 94 and 97 are fine as well, you clearly don't use them, as i've used the 94 for years and never had a problem, i've always felt safe and fine on there. Whats your problem with the route?

The 94 and 55 are on the same corridor and follow the same route for half the journey?

X12 & Claribels Services will be the most pleasant. The rest of them will be constantly stopping. Picking up all the single mothers and the rest of the chavs. Kids screaming. Weird old people. The X12 will make up by going quick to Bromford and decent buses. Claribels will make up for it because there'll be less passengers and therefore a faster journey. This was my logic @2206

I've used both the 94 and 97 enough times, to see the trouble. All the fare dodgers in Bordesley Green, the weed smokers on both routes. The 94 past the Fox & Goose to Chelmsley Wood with more fare dodgers. I said the 55 is nice if you like Omnilinks like me, then again it was better with the 0405N's.

X70 longer but decent, although the X12 the X70 serve the Bromford Estate it's not that bad, it's fairly quiet.

Bromford Estate on the X12 is the most nicest of places you would want to go to. X70 longer but decent, although the X12 the X70 serve the estate it's not bad, neither was it with 72 or even the 26.
I don't realy see anyone smoking on the 55/94 these days.
You do on the 11 but not the 94.

I've seen tons of smokers on the 94, most of which are the same person.
Considering the areas the 11 serves, wouldn't you expect it?

Take a minute to think about what you just said...
Also "I've used both the 94 and 97 enough times, to see the trouble" I can use exactly the same logic to label near enough every single route in the west Midlands as "bad"
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

Aye, I've seen a bus window get smashed by a brick on the 404 back in the day, yobs messing about on the 42/43, people arguing in Dudley Bus Station and then subsequently on the 11/13, I could go on but I wouldn't consider those routes 'bad' just because of a small number of incidents.

Any views/comments are my own and do not reflect those of my employer.

To put some perspective into this argument (which I have incidentally split off from the Perry Barr garage thread), I'd just like to start by stating that there are no 'scummy' routes. Routes (and areas too) are only as bad as the people who frequent them.

While scouting out and viewing a property to rent recently, I had the opportunity to travel on the 94 service a couple of times and found it quite a pleasant journey.

And while I generally don't encounter much anti-social behaviour on buses much, some of the worst I can recall happened while I was on buses travelling through Bournville and Solihull. Supposedly 'nice areas' eh?

And I bet you never even report this to Safer Travel?
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath
