Questions for Simon from Arriva

Hi Simon, would it be possible to review the suitability 2546 at Oswestry? Since the 2B Wrexham to Cefn Mawr service has been discontinued around a month ago where it regularly appeared, it has been spending the last few weeks on the 70/70A Oswestry to Shrewsbury. I have had it out of Shrewsbury three times in a week and the capacity and poor legroom on many of the seats is already starting to annoy the passengers or so it seems.

The 70/70A seems to have fallen on hard times since the days it had four new buses dedicated in the shape of 2367-70, later replaced by 3696-9 with Wifi provided (for 2367-70 to return as the default when these were moved onto Shrewsbury). The batch of SB200's that replaced the SPDs, 3727-31 which also had WiFi, were a reliable allocation until moved onto Tamworth. The Scanias that replaced the SB200's have not seen a full allocation since the first few days they arrived at Oswestry, lightweight 11.1M Versas are dominating with the odd Scania at best, giving the impression of a service in decline and the use of 2546 is not inspiring a positive imagine.

Simon can anything be done to improve the punctuality of the number 60 from Cannock - Lichfield around the evening peak time? It's always late by 15-25 minutes. Of course you can't help traffic but perhaps some coordination somewhere can be improved. Today for example the 17:13 didn't arrive until about 17:30ish.

Fair point made and I will ask the team about it.  I think that there will be some fleet changes early in 2019 which will probably address this.

@leepenfold30 - If I was a betting man, I would hazzard a guess it's the 'ONLY' Optare vehicles that are allocated to Derby (i.e. Solo's 2505-2521 - 18 in total), Winston

Hi, no plans for putting announcements on the refurbed Sapphire bus.

Minor changes to route 1 only.
