not enough of those erm.... thingys, erm........ D I E S E L S thats it 
not enough of them left, in my day in such a case you grab a couple of 58's & 47's 
and drag them through proof house (or where ever) but now there aint so many & 
getting them would be nightmare.....

Not much use when the wires are wrapped around a train. The diesel Stansted to Birmingham has been there since 1338, only just getting to New Street at 1605

Ah well. that would make a difference, see from working on the Railway "Wires Are Down" usually meant power failure.

One thing I don't understand is the distruption is still on going today yes they can't serve Perry Barr to new street but hamstead and bescot stadium are being unserved, couldn't they of done somthing to add additional stops to the rugeley services to allow them to stop at hamstead and bescot stadium. As they can stop at these station by going via soho junction.
