That is something I have noticed a few time too.

Realtime Trains is now showing the train formations for West Midlands Railway and London NorthWestern Railway services.

There's now a 730/2 at Soho for driver training.

Currently 730211

See WMR have done their research when informing passengers about replacement facilliities between Wolves & Shrewsbury due to yet another problem on the route.

'Catch Arriva buses between Wolverhampton & Shrewsbury!'

What Arriva bus?

(Think this route is rivalling the Metro for regular issues!)

ellspurs

x10 Shrewsbury --> Telford

8 Telford --> Bridgnorth

9 Bridgnorth --> Wolverhampton.

It isn't practical, but it is doable.

Just seen new WMR trains at Walsall station. Five carriage sets. I believe these are for the Euston services

Are they going to be used on Birmingham to London services via Tile Hill, Coventry, Northampton etc?

I know at the minute the 730/0 do some of the late night journeys to Coventry as I think they are stationed there overnight. One comes off the cross city.
Local Routes
94/95, 11A/11C, 28.

That would be amazing if it was the case

Yes, and Crewe to Euston Euston the Trent Valley

I'm saying this not as a complaint but as a question if anyone knows how this can actually happen. On both google maps and in the station on the departure boards, the 18:41 from Smethwick GB to Worcester SH was displaying as cancelled. Despite this, RTT showed it was very much alive and was on its way. At 18:40, the board changed from Cancelled to On Time, and announced the service as it was pulling in.
Local routes are the PN 7, WN 8, 25 and 242 (mainly the 8)
Also regularly use the 17

satters

its a matter of where the various systems get their information, most likely in this scenario the TOC (Train Operating Company) decided to CAPE (cancel) the train mid-route (as a cancellation fine is cheaper than a delay fine) and updated the timetable data to PIS (Passenger Information System) however you can't just remove a train from the railway, it has to run somewhere ECS (Empty Coaching Stock) and the message to this effect has to be made to the driver & guard on the train as a change to their stop orders, and to the signalmen via train running control, plus updating TRUST (Train Running Under System TOPS)(Total OPerating System) which takes time, as public data feeds take their information from the Train Describer which has the loaded timetable data and in turn is stepped by the signalling system, that is based upon what is expected to happen rather than the actual working, thus the train that the drivers company wanted to cancel still runs (and delays everything else, but it would ECS anyway, just with a smaller Delay Attribution fine) and if that sounds complicated save a thought for those of us that have to work on the railway, roll on retirement!
