Looking at the recent photos of the Your bus Leyland Atlanteans, did any of these pass over to WMT when they purchased the company? Also, is there a list anywhere of all the vehicles that were acquired with the business?

I assume not all those listed ran in service immediately after the take-over? Although it seems those Dennis Dart/Plaxton's hung around for quite a while and even gained WMT blue, silver & red.

Thanks for the reply. I never knew Your Bus had as many vehicles as that. Did any of the Fleetlines and Atlanteans make it into service with WMT?

Some of their Optare Deltas (?) seemed to last with TWM until circa 2000 at least as used to see them on Dudley Road near City Hospital on the 81 route.

What about the H reg buses they had think they had H149 SKU - H160 SKU they weren't on that list ?

They are at the bottom of the list

Would have loved to have seen the Atlanteans in service in Brum, remember these as a kid in Sheffield, the Alexander bodied ones were Herries Road buses so might have done the 2/59 Outer Circles which went up my way, and the Roe bodied ones (61 was DWJ565V not DJW) were Greenland Road buses which did the 4, I certainly recall regular trips on that batch of Roe bodied Atlanteans, superb buses.  Both depots now sadly long gone, did my work experience at Greenland Road back in 1996, got to drive an XWG-T training Atlantean round the back of GR depot.

At least one of them (7001) ran for WMT from West Bromwich just after the takeover of the Stevensons routes.

Anyone no if they've all been scrapped h149 sku - h159 sku ?

Quality, think 1688 was probably one of the early Sheffield Mainline liveried buses for the 81-84, sadly all replaced by B10Ms when I caught those routes to school, didn't come to Birmingham until late '99 so missed out on Your Bus.

I must admit, having been a student in Sheffield in the late 80s and living on the 81-84 routes, I hadn't even realised that there were 2 different body types on these Atlanteans - the differences are quite subtle, I guess like the Park Royal vs MCW bodies on the WMPTE Fleetlines. My personal favourites from my time in Sheffield were the Alexander bodied Dennis Dominators which were also regulars on the 81-84.

The Roe and Alexander bodies were a little more different compared to the MCW and Park Royal bodies in terms of how similar they looked. My favourite ones were the Marshall bodied ones, thought they looked great. I also loved the Alexander RH Dominators, brilliant buses.

Not sure which, but at least one of the Atlanteans had a 3-speed Voith gearbox. Performance-wise, the higher revving Leyland O680 seemed much more suited to it than the Gardner 6LXB in the Metrobus.

Think most SYPTE Atlanteans had Voith boxes, used to make all sorts of wonderful noises!
