They kept changes to the Inner Circle quiet....
Straight up Rocky Lane in Nechells instead of round Bloomsbury and apparently "Some bus stops along the routes will no longer be served to help speed up journeys". Hope it works.

Doesn't the added X and A prefix to services make a mockery of the number simplification process we will now have 120A 4 digits how will people manage I don't know

how many will get on a 120A for Dudley

That's why it should have been numbered 119

I often wonder why the West Bromwich to Dudley service was numbered 121?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Because it shares part of the Dudley to Oakham route with the 120, so numerically it 'fit in'.

My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Yup, and makes sense far more than the old route number of 688.

True but now the number 121 would be better used instead of having 120A, was quite surprised they changed it from 688 to 121, surely 21 would have been better.

Was just thinking: with the introduction of the 120A, being *supposedly* operated from WB (without trying starting a whirlpool that goes off topic) would there be a set allocation? Or are we expected to be met with a mixed allocation? - which, in WB's case, is quite a varied bag (E200s, Omnilinks, B7TL ALX400, Enviro 400s)

I, too, was surprised about this when I came across it. Seems odd to have kept quite about it; that's quite a chunk that's going to be missed out, in my opinion. I haven't been on the 8 down to Nechells in a while. Is that section of the route well used?

I'd be surprised if it got anything other than E400s & ALX400s

I believe it will be operated by Scania Omnilinks at West Bromwich garage.

To be fair I've never really understood why it snakes around like it does, straightening it out shouldn't cause too much issue as the three stops it will miss out are all close to a stop on another road as it is. But that said I am always seeing people waiting for it on Oliver Street

It will have no set allocation actually. I've been told by a WB driver. It will get a mix of  E400s, B7TLs and Omnilinks. Similar to the 89 currently.
