Sample fares
Adult single was £2 now £2.10 (£2 using Swift)
Adult day ticket remains at £4 (£3.80) using Swift)
Adult city hop remains at £1 (90p using Swift) and now extended out to Fargo Village!

If they're stupid enough not to read the 'from 2nd Jan 2017' underneath the new fares text, it serves them right!

The £1 city hop seems good value as it covers from the rail station right out to the end of Far Gosford St. Does any other NX journey equal gor better this?

Five ways to Priory Queensway or maybe Hockley to the markets is about as far as I think you could stretch the city hop fare on Brum routes, lack of decent cross city routes puts paid to that

Pathetic argument, if they left the cab door notice on people would complain they didn't know about the new fares, if they had both posters up people will complain that it was confusing

This annual practice was brought to light to me by a driver in a previous year who encountered passengers who wondered why the fare was different from the revised fares sign on the cab door!

I got myself a Swift card and used that for the first time this week, definately worth it to save a few pennies ;)
The paper ticket printed on the bus will even show the remaining balance.

I don't think the prices increases are extortionate. Travelling round the majority of the West Midlands on a daysaver for £4.20 is a fair price I'd say.
