Theres a lot the council could do to improve the Bristol Rd too. The stretch of 2 lanes between Speedwell Rd and Priory is too narrow yet theres plenty of room to widen. They could extend the right turn filter lane at Priory going towards City and create a left hand filter lane from City.

Which is great, until you get passengers, who aren't aware the service is limited-stop, getting upset and pissy with the driver because they're sailing past the stop they wanted to get off at.  8)

Mate to this day the idiots still do that on the X51 and an express service along that route has existed as long as I've known, that argument should never be valid

I agree with your point, and you get the same on the 900/957, people get on and then start panicing when the bus starts going down Small Heath Highway.

I was thinking more of when the X10 replaced the 141; first day of service some old dear asked the driver where the 141 was because she'd been waiting ages. Then there was a lady with a pushchair who got a bit peeved because the bus no longer stopped at her stop on Hagley Road, and had to get off three stops further than she wanted.

The lack of advance publicity doesn't help, not everyone has access to the internet or social media, there aren't always even notices at stops advising passengers of big changes in advance. Perhaps Network West Midlands should do a deal with the Metro publishers, so that major bus service changes are advertised on the front page?
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

The timetable for the X61 and the new timetable for the 63 to take effect from the 4th December 2016 has now been published on the Network West Midlands site.

There will be a 20 minute frequency on the 63 during the evenings.

Early evening perhaps, but this lowers to every 30 minutes after 9pm

So why the difference at 9pm?  I would have thought the loadings from Selly Oak to City would have justified 3 buses an hour until late.

A lot of Birmingham services reduce in frequency after 9pm

As for the X64 it didnt use the QE hospital originally, so could go back to Bournbrook, after all the 98 and 99 provide a link to QE to City.

Neither the 98 or 99 go to Bartley Green, Bangham Pit etc though. Which was his point.
Local Routes: 002, 39/39A, X21, 46, 76.
Localish Routes: 18, 23, X22.

99 to Bartley Green then with full sized singles
Pensnett can have the E200s and a QE to Halesowen route
Job done  :D

(Edit: in all seriousness, I just made that up on the spot and kinda think it's a good idea)

Surely it makes more sense to re-route the 98? As the 98 goes further down the Bristol Road anyway. Could easily do away with that and bring back the 62 in my opinion.
