Renumbering of the slutton lines, 900 and the 957 then.

But there doesn't appear to be a 960. Is that where the extra Platinum's are coming from for the 914 (X14)?

Rumor is that the 960 isn't going ahead.
Local Routes
94/95, 11A/11C, 28.

Interesting renumbering here. The end in sight for 9xx series routes?

So the Platinum publicity livery as worn by 4723 was a taste of things to come (almost - it was branded as X1, Birmingham to Solihull).

I predict that the X64 and 907 will replaced by all stop services 64 and 107 respectively.

Even without the 960, the 900/957 would have been getting a frequency increase anyway, so more buses will be needed for those routes. And rightly so, passenger numbers are on the increase since the introduction of the Platinums, so more capacity is badly needed.

Also just noticed, unless I've missed something, is there not going to be an X3 then?  :o
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Unless the X3 is...a replacement planned for the 997...

With X34-7 replacements for the 934-7 corridor...

All opinions and onions mentioned on here are mine and not those of any employer, current, past, present or future, or presented as fact, unless I prove it otherwise.

X3 could be reserved for when the 966 goes Platinum?

Good idea, so then 1-6, 10 and 14 would be in use.

Abluhwleh

My guess is X3 for the proposed 960...

That was my thoughts too. X1-3 for Coventry road services.

So after the failed attempts with the X62 & X64 they're going to have an X61? There will be no trusted routes left at this rate. The 61, 62 and 63 wotked well enough as it was.
Local Routes: 002, 39/39A, X21, 46, 76.
Localish Routes: 18, 23, X22.

Kevin

Confused why they're making the 61 express rather than the 63, surely other way round makes more sense?
Now in exile in Oxfordshire....

monkeyjoe

Maybe because the other attempts via Bristol Rd direct have failed and the 61 serves more of the estate areas so a different approach possibly.
