And are for the 57 58 to help refresh the route.

I'm still not convinced they will have enough capacity for the 57/58, even with the larger buggy areas. I think they should have been DF MAX or full size single deckers

I would have said that two years ago, but passenger numbers are dropping and I have a feeling parts of Redditch may loose bus services due to the drop in passenger numbers.

I think they're asking for trouble trying to cram up to 5 pushchairs in a DF Streetlite

jc

They may be build for 5 buggies, but these days designers are rather ... poor when it comes to that working in reality, just because we could fit 5, doesn't mean your typical Jeremy Kyle Jane Doe from Redditch won't spread out over the bus taking up more than there allocated space!

This YouTube clip shows the internal layout of Diamond's new Streetlites (58 secs onwards)

At 1 min 35 secs in, it also shows where a local toe rag clearly doesn't appreciate the investment Diamond is making in a new fleet for the 57/58 & has tried to down seat 32214 by ripping out two seat cushions already (rear nearside corner after being in service a matter approx 2 days).

The Redditch Standard I bet won't run a story to find the culprit.

I bet they won't either

I think Diamond should make an example of the offender if they have their mugshot on CCTV, run a campaign via their Facebook page & website to identify them, what would be particularly funny would be if they were a pupil of the following school:

They're all abit old aren't they for games of dares?

It's not only Diamond who should do a name and shame rogues gallery in the press and social media. I don't doubt that the CCTV tapes used on public transport just play out to themselves but I think they could prove more useful than it is already.

Why should bus companies have to have space for 5 buggy's? that is just daft, sorry but 2 is enough, women wanna keep their egs closed, Goverment needs to have a bill where their is a cap on number of kids per family.

You might want to see if your spell checkers working before thrashing out your genderist stereotyping. It isn't just pushchairs that benefit from a larger buggy area. As daft as it is on the Matchboroughs, Diamond obviously see a need for it which given all the flack they take from people such as yourself is surely a positive response to passenger feedback.

The way some dart turned up on the 29 yesterday smoking like crazy cutting out on the hills, Ive told Simon hundreds of emails about these buses, nothing gets done, so Ive given up. maybe some one should get VOSA involved now
