Not an oddity or defect, it was removed intentionally

6829 you can still see the x2 branding from an angle it's faded but you can still see it

Also 4862 has white side LED display

It was glued shut all the passengers were complaining that the bus was to hot

Passengers on a cold day complaining the bus is hot because one window at the back won't open does not sound likely.

It certainly wasn't glued shut as the Most inspector opened it earlier in the day

Noticed on 6841 today on the X12/X13's the last lower seat before the raised seats towards the back on the driver's side, the top of the leather was damaged and frayed with the lining showing through the black leather, looked like just natural wear
