For a period of around 3 weeks towards the end of October while the line is connected into the new extension Metro will terminate at St Paul's.

Details of this 3 week period are still being finalised and we will be publishing the alternate arrangements for getting to Snow Hill when they become available.

Once the works are complete Metro will run into the new Snow Hill stop which is situated on a bridge over the ring road and connection into the heavy rail station will be via stairs and walking via Livery St to Snow Hill second access or by walking up the Metro route past Snow Hill One and Two to the front entrance of Snow Hill station.

When the remainder of the route opens at the end of the year Bull Street will provide a level walking route through to the front entrance of Snow Hill station.

The new extension means that Metro will continue from St Paul's to the new stop at Snow Hill then onto stops at Bull Street, Corporation Street and then Grand Central at New Street Station. This extension will open by the end of the year.

At least they're providing a replacement (2 PB Geminis on Monday) though every 15 minutes off peak isn't very generous.

Metro tickets/passes are valid on other bus services, as well as trains to/from Jewellery Quarter.

4744 and a WB 47** Gemini today
15 minutes looks ok 4744 only had about 10 passengers on it

I get of at Great Charles St/Livery St and walk takes about 8 mins to walk to st pauls.

Why on earth is the official advice telling people to use trains between Snow Hill and JQ/Hawthorns? When there is a bus replacement? It's fine during off peak but there is already no capacity on these trains in peaks for the existing passengers. People are trying to board rammed trains at Snow Hill in the peak because they have been told to, despite there being a usually empty Gemini parked outside. LM are getting all the grief off both the Metro passengers and their own existing passengers for congestion and over loading which is absolutely nothing to do with them!

i walk from town to st pauls to catch tram and it takes 6-8 minutes to walk the short distance.

Full marks, though, to LM - on the station announcements they do warn of crowding  and have details of the Metro closure on their website.
