I know it's not  a training vehicle by allocation but their was a B7TL ALX400 with a trainee and many others present in Castle Bromwich just after 12 by the spitfire Island.

How do you know it was a trainee?

Most likely route training. Aren't they doing something with the 904? from the next few days.

My guess it was route training but I suppose I could have phrased that better. I believe I saw the driver driving on 1 of the training vehicles last week as well.

When I say how do you know it was a trainee, my point is this. The training fleet is for current drivers aswell. One day in a year, you must do 8 hours training to keep your CPC valid.

I assumed it was a trainee because the driver was being cautious and what not plus up until you mentioned it, I wasn't aware of drivers having to do additional training to keep their CPC valid so I didn't think it would be a current driver. You learn something every day.
Is this something of a formality for a current driver to renew their CPC as they have the driving experience ?

CPC training is done in the white buses in the training fleet, more than likely type training for a new driver done by the garage DTO
