That's the description given at the PI of a couple of the vehicles
strange situation isnt it? as if they were that bad and appealed that decision, although they could carry on operating if they were that bad surely the appeal would have been rejected and them being finished. However maybe they have made some changes in the mean time and got their act together? I agree vehicles should be clean, but in this weather thats a difficult job

Not really know what that means. I listen to the public every day and everyone of them prefers to pay £2 than £2.90, if they wish to pay a cash fare, on any bus, dirty or clean. The public generally travel by bus because they cannot afford, or are unable to use, any other form of transport. All they want is to get from A-B at an affordable price. At Kev's we choose to charge a maximum £2.40 per single fare but if Express can afford to only charge £2 then good luck to them. When franchising kicks in then fares will be reduced but local taxes will go up to pay for it. When the political landscape changes then fares will go up and local taxes come down, nothing changes other than the large bus operators, and bus builders, will still make large profits.

That was due to the Government raising it to £3 TFWM were gonna raise the price anyway, NX need to make money, Let's go are gonna find out that Charging £2 will struggle to pay overheads. Franchising will only put fares up

So what percentage of an operators income do you think comes from single cash fares ?

The government didn't force any operator to charge £3, they simply capped them at £3, like how they were capped at £2 before. Bus companies can charge less than £3 if they wish to do so.

They can also charge more, so what is your point ?
