Having read the report, I have to agree. Obviously I can't quote from the written report here but it seems unlikely he'll be looked favourably upon if and when he tries to get a new license.

Diamond used to operate the 303.  Not sure if they've ever operated the other routes mentioned

As someone who regularly uses the 65 on a daily basis Lets go have being a good reliable operator not had much of an issue.

A few of his drivers could give Max Verstappen a run for his money and leaving Wolverhampton a few minutes earlier than sticking to the actual time.

But if ive had an issue with them ive rang the main man himself who is only happy to help and apologises for the issues that happened.
Wolverhampton Veg 😎

Quote from: Rachvince53 on June 07, 2024, 12:49:43 PMYeah I was thinking the same, as Diamond did operate them before. I thought Carolean might take on the 303 as it only needs one bus. As you say, can't imagine NX wanting them. The other possibility is Select or Chaserider but I don't think either have the buses or drivers.
Select defo won't - don't like TfWM area. Chaserider may - they bidded when diamond gave it up last time (but let's go win and took it over)

Didnt Nx, in it's Wmt days, have a go at the 303 at some point as well?

Sure I remember seeing a Lynx in Willenhall.

Yes, they did. I have a timetable somewhere for it

Yep. Lets Go took it over in April 2022. I heard from a driver that Diamond forgot to put in a bid for the tender though I think thats unlikely.

Diamond took the tender over when they acquired the Wednesfield operations of Arriva while the 303 had previously been operated by iGo.

Yes the 63/64/65 was Arriva and possibly Midland before that using Darts, Diamond took over as I remember seeing a StreetLite WF or smaller DF on there once usually was Operated by Solo's. The 303 was operated by Igo using Enterprise Plaxton Primos possibly around the same time they started on the 65 in Darlaston replacing Arriva on that route, Diamond then ran the route using Primo's and I believe they had the Mellors on it at one point. The 303 is kind of a pointless route Runs from the middle of Bentley doesn't even have a bus stop at the terminus to Bilston a route which crosses over with the 23, 37, 326 and 529

You are correct, Arriva took over the 63 etc when they bought Wednesfield based Midland.  The Primos (horrible things) also found their way on to the 63 group and the 61 (Wolves city centre to Goldthorn Park, now a NX service) taken over from iGo.

What are the loadings like on the 303?

Could a route change benefit it?

I use it three or four times a week. From end to end it probably picks up no more than twenty people.  Most of these are concessionary pass holders

So a route change wouldnt be needed then.

Slightly off topic, but might be connected, but is a link from Willenhall to Reedswood Sainsburys still needed?

Could a revised 303 do it?
