Not a problem at all, Dom. Don't forget the fonts too!

Glad you like them. Should add to your professionalism somewhat.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Stu

I just watched your video, and while I must admit I didn't find it wholly engrossing, I must commend you for your effort, well done!

I have maybe one or two constructive suggestions to make, that may possibly improve the quality of your production:

As you're not appearing directly in front of the camera, if you're not already, try writing a script for what you intend to say, and then read along to it. That will eliminate the 'pauses' in your speech as well as the 'ums and ahs', and allow you to vocally present what you intend to say clearly and concisely. Your script can also incorporate the 'necessary' pauses to be made, when you're switching slides/captions., and as you read your script back to yourself before recording, it will give you a good idea of the 'running time' of your journey (video/presentation) ;)

I would also advise you to spend less time just reeling off lists of numbers; the information is presented visually, so doesn't necessarily need reeling off orally also; you almost nailed it when referring to YW's transfers. Spoken word and visual text complement each other nicely, so often it's just the case of finding the balance between what the eye is seeing and what the ears are hearing.

Finally, it would be interesting to see/hear other bus related news, rather than just fleet movements; keep an eye out on this forum, as well as on NX Bus, Network West Midlands, and other local news websites, for news about new routes, bus incidents, and diversion/disruption information, just to break things up a bit.

Otherwise, as I already said, good work, and I look forward to seeing how this develops over time!

My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Very good, Dom!

Just need to tighten up on the script a bit, and I think you panicked a bit when reading out the "7***" series triple star series omnilinks, just remember your audience, we already know what you're talking about most of the time, "the seven thousand series Omnilinks are allegedly being transfered to Perry Barr, but this is yet to be confirmed. As soon as I am aware of anything concrete, I will tell you on the next Round Up."

Maybe have some references to this forum, who made the post on here or whatever, and maybe have a section for noteworthy workings you've seen or read on this forum. "Now, as most of you are aware I'm NXDom on WMBuses In Photographs forum, and some of my fellow members have noticed some interesting workings over the last week. @Nathan noticed on Thursday that there was a Spectra on the 11C, indeed a rare working if you've ever seen one! The owner of the site, @Tony, tells us there was a Omnicity on BC's 61 route! I wanna be on whatever the allocators were smoking when they put that out!"

The beginning was fantastic, music and your "start your engines" spiel. Top notch. The ending music/fade outs require some work though.

You've improved already in heaps and bounds though, stick at it! Great stuff.

Was there a spectra on the 11C?

Use your loaf, no there wasn't!

Apologies guys but today's NXWM Platinum review will not be uploaded tonight due to alot of technical difficulties, I will try and get it for later in the week, once again apologies.

Ally

If it's of any additional help, the font used on the new NXWM logo is Neo Sans, whether or not it's professionally called it, I'm not sure, but it's definitely the exact font. Would come in handy for the Crimson stuff I'm sure, as well as any paperbuses that include route branding etc. :)

Hello guys, long time no speak....

Right couple of points, first I sincerely apologise about the real lack of uploads and weekly round ups, now don't think its because I've forgotten, believe me I haven't. To put it very bluntly my laptop shat itself, it blew up and very limited with it's capabilities, no fear...

in October I will (Hopefully) be receiving a new pc, bigger and better than my current laptop. Therefore the WMBN will return! BIGGER BETTER THAN EVER BEFORE!

Now here is the serious bit...

I need to know what you want to see, reply to this post and tell me what content you would like me to create as a part of WMBN.

All feedback is welcome.

p.s I will try my hardest to restart the weekly round ups, except they may be more fortnightly due to my laptop.

I would also like to say thank you for your co-operation during this time, I know I've left you in the dark but it will return!!!!
