It's all change this time round!

There are some high bids in there for some of those.
The first 27 contract, NX won with an alternative bid for £66,352
Only one other bidder and they bid £286,211

So NX's alternative bid saved Centro a quarter of a million pounds!

Diamond seem to have fared a little better overall, but have obviously have still lost the 96/99 to Igo

I don't know what loadings are like elsewhere on those routes, but when I see the 96 and 99 in Acocks Green, there are hardly any passengers.

Certainly I see more people using the 36 at the times I see it.

Curiously, I just had a look on the Network West Midlands website, and searching for the 96 and 99 brings up new timetables for both services operated by Diamond from 28th March.  :o

Looks like the Coventry 42 has been linked to the 87 on the new Tender. Johnson's of course are no stranger to Coventry on the "Country" services, but now getting a tiny piece of the action on City services.

I would have thought the 87 could have been more effectively to mop up the 47 around Canley station.
Coventry 42 is a classic case where you can use a bus efficiently on schools/peak workings, then operate a shopping service.
I know of instances where Operators who take over tendered services are mandated in the tender contract to still accept day/period area tickets from the previous big group operator at no extra cost to the traveller.

In the 21st century all services should provide real time information wonder how close the bids if the above was included!

Would that not be to do with the re-registering the servises on to the Diamond licence?

WMT/NXC have been running the 42 (previously 49) to Coundon for at least 25 years so it'll be a bit of a raw loss for them, but I suppose when it became a subsidised service three years ago a change of hands was to be expected in due course.
And yeah the 41/47 in it's current form continues to annoy me, such waste.
