One thing I don't understand is why the tendered routes need to be Euro 5? What's so special about tendered routes? They carry 0 passengers majority of time

Because that's what TfWM now specify & are paying for. Whether they carry fresh air or are full, it still has a baring on air quality / pollution

I replied, 'As far as here', indicating the Leisure Centre, 'then its Bloxwich'.

I continued ' You're not from round here are you?'
