I still get nostalgic every time I get on a Merc. Very rare these days (as I drive and get the train, and most of my locals that had Mercs allocated no longer do, apart from the 53). I have a lot of memories of them, and they will be missed. I do quite like their replacements though, the B7RLE

I see from the fleet list 1704-1707 are at pennsnet these were the branded 120 mercs at Hockley garage when new, they did look very good back then. As pennsnet now operates the 120 they should go on there for the final day being relevant.

I was on about on route 244, I'm presuming b6s and b10s are lasting longer than Mercs. Do you know a date for the Mercs send off day?

244 is a B6 parked at WB garage,hasn't moved for months!

That was what I meant reinstate 244 to operate the 244 for the last day!  It has moved a few times in the last few days. Only around West Bromwich garage though. Been on the pits a couple of times.
