Well, even though the green bus website timetable states that the 1654 ex merry hill is a fw1, we departed merry hill as a 22. So it looks like I'm using the Centro site now for accuracy

Regarding the journeys marked on the timetable on the website as 'FW1':

QuoteFW1   On Schooldays serves King Edward VI Five Ways School and runs 5 mins later thereafter

My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

are the non school boards carrying anyone ? I saw 4 buses in Harborne today - all empty

I just did a trip into the city from Halesowen and back on 107, fairly decent loadings actually, say about 25 on the way in and 10 on the way out

107, 108, 110, 111, 112, 113, 120 all on 22's today

My 107 was running in convoy with 108 on the way back from city

Forgot to mention, if anyone needs a photo of the repainted Dart, it's on the 50 today.

Does this meet the SQP criteria for a frequent bus service?

It's low floor but Euro 2, so unless it's been modified like the Euro 2 Tridents, then I doubt it, although it was used on the 50 on a daily basis not so long ago

Have just got back from Harborne and have seen one of TGB's 22's travelling up the High Street towards Merry Hill.  Looks as if the service is still free today as the destination display of the one I'd seen had the scrolling "free bus" on the display.  Plenty of passengers on the bottom deck.   Not sure if the Town Hall will work as a terminus and if the route is successful going into Colmore Row may be a better bet.

Yes, today is the final day of free service

Rode the 1124 Merry Hill to City about 12 - 15 people into and out of Halesowen and about the same coming into Birmingham.

The publicity leaflet says the frequency from Monday is every 15 minutes!

With respect to SQP in the City Centre the Town Hall falls outside this requirement.

The TGB website shows the timetable as every hour off peak and half hour peak.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

That's what I thought. I commented on this to the driver. He said he thought it was every half hour but with the number of new drivers recruited and route trained it will probably be every 15 minutes. The timetable on the website could be a temporary one for the free service.

The timetable in my bus stop says its hourly as well, I'm sure the valid from date at the top was some time in March (I think it was the 20-something'th - I remember questioning why it said the end of March when the service actually started at the end of February). I could be wrong about the date, though. I'll have another look when I go out tomorrow.

EDIT: It's actually the 9th March. I have a photo if anyone thinks it's worth uploading, but a summary of the timetable is:

Mon-Fri
6-8am        - 2 journeys, e.g. 0652, 0722 from my stop
8-9am        - approx. every 15 mins (with an extra term-time journey)
9-10am      - Half-hourly
10am-2pm - Hourly
2-7pm       - Half-hourly

Sat - as above but every 20 mins 8-9am
I'm on Flickr and Youtube

Spectra 201 on the 22 this morning I think

On a side note, 201 has recently returned from Lincolnshire being the first Spectra to be fitted with seatbelts

nitromatt1

Spectra 206 was this afternoon's FW7 so presumably had done a 22

452 (the Lance) is out on rail replacement on the New St - Wolves line tonight

Also, one of the NK51 Tridents is being prepared for some kind of overall wrap

204 on the 22 today

Has anyone seen what the loadings are like on the 22? As I saw a Trident leave Merry Hill at about 4pm yesterday in front of an 002 & it only had 2 passengers on board
