Service 242 will start from Monday and will run for 5 weeks during the summer holidays.

It will run between Kinver, Stourbridge and Merry Hill and will follow most of the 228 route, with a couple of changes. The route map and timetable will soon be up on our social media and I'll then post a link here.

We will be running a free service for the first two days (Monday 27 and Tuesday 28)

242 eh? Almost going back to when WB/MH ran the Kinvers!

Will the Dudley & Sandwell nbus (the £3.20 one) be issued/accepted?

I presume it'll be accepted as far as the Vicarage Rd/Bridgnorth Rd junction, as that's where the boundary is according to the map on the WM Network site.

Surely, isn't this another nail in the 228s coffin?
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

Odd, it's competing with an under used section of route, a high frequency platinum service and a tender.

Is this new 242 service running alongside Diamond's 228? There's no further information on Diamond's website as to whether they've now withdrawn this fully.

@Stu from what I have seen it's only a temporary service for 5/6 weeks.
