Good Evening All, I hope the admin don't mind another Vamooz plug! Please delete if inappropriate.

In just under a week now, we will be travelling north to the Potteries Bus and Coach Rally and Running Day 2018, why not join us?

With pick ups from Hockley, Birmingham, Perry Barr, Walsall and Stafford amongst others along the route, why not take a trip out of the midlands with us at a bargain price!

The intention is to use former National Express 4112, W112DOP, Our current 312, The vehicle has had the Gearbox re-mapped so it can now run above the 45mph it was restricted to in former life, so why not have a ride?

Prices start at £10, however looking on the app this morning the price has already dropped to £9.52, for first time Vamoozer's there is a £5 off offer, so why not have a day out to Stoke on Trent for as little as £5?

Our pick up points will be

07:40 - GreenBus Depot, Hockley.
08:00 - Birmingham Station Street (NS13)
08:10 - Perry Barr, Railway Station
08:20 - Great Barr, Scotts Arms (Outside Greggs)
08:30 - Walsall, Hatherton Road (Coach Pick Up)
09:10 - Stafford Railway Station
09:50 - Arrival at Potteries Bus & Coach Rally and Running Day
While here we will be operating a couple of trips on behalf of the event
17:00 - Departure on return.

Hi, I've joined the trip and it's showing under My Trips, although on the home page it says it still needs a few more people to run. Will it be going ahead or not, as I need to plan an alternative way of getting there if not? Thanks.

Yes the trip will be running, please ignore that comment, the trip is definitely going ahead as planned!

Great, thanks. I guess I didn't need to ring up then had I checked here first. The only downside is that there aren't any buses running into Walsall until later in the day, so it looks like I'm having a nice gentle cycle along the canals to get there.

We are following the 51 route from Birmingham mate, is this any good for you?

Nah, I'm coming from Tipton, I can do the whole route along the canals though pretty much so it's no issue.

Ah excellent stuff! Shame services are so poor on a Sunday morning in parts!

Yeah, but it does mean I get more exercise I guess. Do you happen to know which stop is the coach pick up point in Walsall, as there's multiple stops on Hatherton Road? Thanks.

You're better off ringing The Green Bus direct and asking.

It's all good, I had the wrong stop but I made it to the one further down the road. Off to Stoke we go! 😉

312 (W112DOP - Ex NXWM 4112) is in Birmingham City Centre today, on the High Street.
Its parked up outside Barclays (opposite Marks and Spencer).
I saw it there at about 09:45 advertising Vamooz and promoting catch the bus week.

Promoting Catch the bus week??? The vehicle is almost 20 years old!! Hardly going to attract people out of their car...

It was fun seeing it struggling to leave High Street with swarms of people coming from every direction there is possible.

344 (V544MOA - ex NXWM 4044) came down Dartmouth Middleway and Nechells Parkway heading towards Saltley at about 10:50 today and returned in the opposite direction at about 12:55 with "It's Coming Home" on the destination display.

And 121 passed the Fox And Goose approximately 10 minutes ago at about 15:05 travelling along Bromford Lane and Stechford Road going towards Stechford, with the same thing on the destination display whilst operating a Private Hire.

Looks like Green Bus have updated their destination blinds now that England have been knocked out of the World Cup...Saw a Green Bus Trident pass me in Kingstanding whilst running empty to do the 842, with a sad face ( :( ) emoji on the blind. Then just passed another on Newtown Row with "Football's not coming home" on the blind...Well that's one way to change the blind from "It's coming home!"
