Hi Tony
Most of the time busy QE - Northfield up to Rubery (i know 98 is avaliable but the £1 fare is tempting)

Green Bus have now put most of the recent torrent of London buses up for sale, the only site where I found details was on Flickr. The vehicles for sale are:

  • V304 KGW
  • V309 KGW
  • V314 KGW
  • V316 KGW
  • V317 KGW
  • V319 KGW
  • V322 KGW
  • V324 KGW
  • Y118 HWB

I assume all others are going to be kept, one or two have already been given TGB livery and are in service.

There's part of me that hopes Green Bus aren't going to get themselves in trouble, but my usual drive to work is along the NXWM route 1 into Wolverhampton and every day this week I've seen their buses being shadowed by Green Bus buses working the 558 with former Abellio vehicles. Are they officially timetabled to run so close?

Part of the problem is different levels of frequency. NX run every 7/8 minutes and Green Bus every 20. I used the 558 on Monday, the 1 left Wolverhampton as timetabled 4 minutes ahead of the Green Bus which also left on time. The Green Bus soon caught NX up and they ran together. I also think Green Bus has a slightly shorter running time.

There may be a bit more to all these ex Abellio arrivals at Greenbus, according to the London Bus Yahoo group there is a series of new school bus services in the Guilford area operating out of Abellio's Byfleet depot which involves 8 x Tridents & 1 x Dart SLF. As I currently understand those vehicles will eventually be operated under the Greenbus identity & receive Greenbus livery, at present Greenbus, Birmingham Tridents 109/110 which are also ex Abellio are providing cover down there. I'm not sure at present whether it's a new operation is connection with Abellio, a new operation for Greenbus Birmingham based at the Byfleet depot of Abellio or some sort of franchise?

Does anyone else know anymore? I've also asked the question on London Bus Group
