Tomorrow then Tony?

They have decided not to use a real bus now
Hmm, well assuming they're not going to use a 'pretend' bus in place of a real one does that mean the whole things off whatever it was in the first place or is something still scheduled for tomorrow? Nothing like a bit of NX confusion to whet the rumour mill!

They are using a Photoshop image. If you click on my name at the bottom of the home page of the main site you will see it

Is this still top-secret at the moment, can it be shared yet?

No, not secret now, company have cleared me to use that image from this morning.

Thanks Tony. At last NX have seen the light and dropped white which looks ok on the first day out of the paint shop but after a few days on the roads of the West Midlands looks off white/grey.
New livery looks good to me. Particularly like the way the lining out reflects the Platinum lining out.
Don't know whether you can answer but will this livery apply only to new deliveries or will it be applied to existing vehicles in future at time of repaint? Surely must be the latter or the paint shop will be painting the current livery for years to come while new deliveries are in the revised livery!

I think they look great personally, especially on the MMC. Sorry if this has been answered - will the all red liver be rolled out across the current fleet at any point?

Tony

Cheers Boss, That wasn't on there when I last checked  ::)

Stevo

It's two-tone red, isn't it? Above and below the cream lines seems a tad darker than the main part between the cream lines (which look goldish on the impression but I hope won't be). The only drawback is that the fleet might start looking like a London outpost with unrelieved red (apart from Platinum). Still, it's a great improvement!

danny

Really like it to be fair will look awesome when rolled out, may be a silly question but does new livery mean new interior design, ie not grey and spots. If this is used on all reprints, wonder if hybrids would receive a green version.

I thought the announcement would give a detailed breakdown of what specific types of new buses had been ordered?

Aren't NX also 3 short of their 300 new buses commitment to be delivered over the two period? I.e.

26 x E400's (4914-4939) delivered late 2013
14 x E200's SWB (751-764) delivered 2014
30 x E200's LWB (831-860) delivered 2014
56 x E400's (4940-4995) delivered 2014
171 new buses due for 2015

Total = 297 new buses

The 171 new buses is some way off the quoted 250 new buses due for UK bus in the recent IMS announcement, any idea where the rest are expected?

Roy

With today's announcement, it will be interesting to see whether the 23 buses that have yet to enter service in NX red and white (16 being painted and 7 still in old livery) appear in red and white livery or two-tone maroon.

Red & White! 4731 was going to make an appearance in two tone red, but will now be back at YW early next week in red & white.

Dundee?

So Dundee's expecting 79 new buses when the fleet is only 110 total  ???

It looks like it has hints of Lothian in the styling...
