Do any of the National Express West Midlands operated Enviro400s with leather seats. On any service to/from the Merry Hill or Dudley? :)

They don't operate anywhere near Dudley or Merry Hill though,  which was the actual question.

Unless whoever allocates the vehicles has a brainstorm & sticks them on the 4 or 311/ 313!

I'm aure the 311/313 arent allowed deckers due to a short bridge... Or was that another service??

Deckers have appeared on the 311/313 before. Tony has photoed one of the 997Gemini's on there.

All WA services using Bradford Place don't have deckers allocated due to the low bridge just off Bradford Place which buses pass under to get back to garage.

Although an E400  (Leather Seated 4768 i think) and 4309 have made it onto the 4 within recent weeks.

Also Tridents were used on the 4 last Boxing day. It just meant these have gone back to garage via a different route

It doesn't, because single decks aren't allowed to go back to garage under the low bridge either. At the moment B7 Eclipse are banned altogether from going under in case it takes the aircon unit off the roof, although I know they do fit if driven carefully as I know the instructor who tested one when new

Surely the drivers are told which route to use back to garage?

When I went to Acocks Green, there was a notice on the wall telling drivers to use a certain route to & from depot so not to annoy the locals.

Do other depots have similar arrangements/restrictions?

There are actually road signs up on the B425 Warwick Road approaching Solihull, instructing bus drivers not to use Ashleigh Road or Broad Oaks Road:

My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

Yes, that was my point, the route back to garage is always specified on the running board, and even the 38 is not allowed to run to garage under the bridge!

Thanks for specifying that Tony. Which route do they actually take from Bradford Place to garage?

I know WN buses use Cannock Rd, Stafford St then Ring Rd into Bus Station to and from garage although some drivers use Culwell St and Hilton St onto Cannock Rd

I've seen 4's coming up Upper Rushall Street past Morrisons, so the route should be Caldmore Road,  Lower Rushall Street past Asda, Upper Rushall Street to Arboretum island, then Littleton Street, Stafford Street,  Bloxwich Road.

Do any buses run via Blue Lane West, Wolverhampton Road, Pleck Road, Rolling Mill Street to Wednesbury Road or is that considered too far out?

Hold on then.

If the 38 is not allowed to run under the bridge to garage,  why is the 38 routed under there anyway?
