4850 was surprisingly lively for an E40D. The BX61 batch have numerous better contenders than any 2013/14 E40D which most of them feel very sluggish.

4892 (BC) and 4967 (WB) are both particularly lively

There's quite a few of the 2013/2014 ones at BC that are quite lively.

Some of the ex Cov ones at WN are fast too, 4983 is quite something!

I drove 4967 recently and was surprised at how quick it was. It ain't shy of steep hills too, managed to hit about 25 up City Road! Usually 49s struggle to surpass 12ish, so it made me wonder what did they do to 4967 to make it so powerful

I had 4469 on a late night 95 last week. Really enjoyed the journey. It sounded as rough as a badgers backside but it was full of life and very sprightly. A very earthy and guttural sound.

Maybe some of them are getting better with age (loosening up some components that make them slow lol) strange really 🤔

4500 is probably the best Volvo B7TL I've ever been on. The ZF is just marvelous!!

I know I don't have too many kind words to say about the Geminis now they're showing their age, but just wanted to say what a pleasure it was to travel on 4490 on Sunday while returning back from Kings Heath on the 11A. It didn't feel like you were travelling on a vehicle now 21 years old, quite smooth and with minimal rattles and squeaks.
The experience was topped off by having an extremely jovial and considerate driver, a credit to the team at Acocks Green.
My locals:
2 - Birmingham to Maypole | 3 - Birmingham to Yardley Wood
11A/C - Birmingham Outer Circle | 27 - Yardley Wood to Frankley
76 - Solihull to Northfield | 169 - Solihull to Kings Heath

The 03 plate Geminis are the nicest remaining compared to the 54 plates. The 03 plates were looked after by PB for many years!

I can attest to this too. 4484 is an absolute dream. You can tell, even after 21 years, these were extremely well built, particularly in comparison to ADL products

4695 is a pleasant voith Gemini to ride on

Trident 4194

Had a ride on both 4515 and 4518 today.

Still incredible vehicles to travel on. Both of them were incredibly noisy too, very beastly engine.

These in my opinion are much better than the tridents.

Finally got to go on a recently refurbished bus (4909) on the 61 last night. While not a fan of the livery, I found the refurbished seats comfortable (even the rear bottom deck seats) and like the moquette. The bus itself is also great, having decent speed down the Bristol Road and sounds great.

6148 looks really really nice with the BCT livery and the white LED display, makes it look like a 2020 vehicle even though it's 8 years old!

Rode 1840 again on the 19:17 37 from Darlaston to Bentley, it was late running but was fairly busy for a 19:05 departure of Walsall most sears were taken Bus started to empty out around Darlaston and Darlaston Green but was still busy when I got off at Wrexham Aveune. Wouldn't usually note short journeys but 1840 seemed to make a weird noise when slowing down almost like the Diff was out it could only be described as the Engine noise was being superseded by a Weird Basy Howling noise only really heard at the Back And Middle of the Veichle as when I was at the front to get off I didn't hear it. This was one of the better Omnilinks at Walsall not sure what the noise was but it added a bit of interest. Still felt nippy over the two bridges in Bentley and when the Driver could get his foot down mostly over the Bridges as we stopped pretty much most stops from Darlaston to Darlaston Green
