was there any notices to explain that the 77 would no longer be ran by NXWM on a Sunday and that it would be taken over by another operator, It makes no odds to me as I have a nBus card, but it seems that the passengers are still under the impression that NXWM still operate the 77 on a Sunday and needless to say this caused a few problems for the driver and small minority of people abused the driver when he explained that they couldn't get on with that pass, causing the driver to run late, so in light of this will there be any notices put if not already ?

Yes on every single Walsall bus and most of other garages, on both the NXWM and NWM web pages and in the advert that was in the free paper, but as you are asking that question and you ride around on those buses a lot it shows you are one of the many that getting information to is nye on impossible to do. Network West Midlands haven't yet managed to obtain the mobile phone numbers to ring & tell them personally

in my defense I have not seen nothing up on buses- hence why I asked & well NetworkWM best get there skates on then if that is the case then this problem will not happen in the near future  ::)

Surely as mentioned by Tony to me on a previous post, Arriva take Nx passes with 50p payment, or is the arrangement different for subsidised services?

I remember A2Z wouldnt do it on the old 351 when they ran on there.

The 50p supplement for boarding with an NXWM pass has increased to 60p and is now only available 0600 and 1800 Monday to Saturday.

They really do take the **** at Arriva, don't they!

I don't really see why Arriva should take NXWM passes at all, they can't benefit commercially surely unless on competing services against NXWM i.e 110. Otherwise with a commercial head would tell people to just pay up full fare.

A chance of getting some fairly decent loadings by offering a concession to Nx passengers & they cock it up.

Diamond did the same. I was quite happy to pay a small amount  to get somewhere quicker & they got rid!

The trouble is, as several operators have found out, is offering these supplements that are paid 'occasionally' actually encourages more people to buy NX only passes and can actually decrease revenue

Also offering a small supplemental fare for other companies passes lowers the average fare which in turn lowers the concessionary fare reimbursement.
Besides why should they give a concession for a companies pass when that company don't run that service. That's what the nbus pass is for.

And do Asda accept Tesco Clubcards? I think not.

Wasn't it BCC in the early days of deregulation on the 16 who introduced this idea?

Steveminor

I think it was actually buran travel that started it. Only 10 back then

Westy

Anyone spotted the Walsall 77 in leaflet form since the change?
