Just for fun! Which bus services, in the West Midlands region, do you think is in need of route branding? Or any branding... Pictures? Personally, I think the 29/29A (NXWM BC) could benefit from branding a few B7's.

Every route should have green branding.

That might be a problem as it inter works with the 24 in the evening and on Sundays. Unless of course it was generic City to Harborne branding. In the late 90s around 50 buses carried 'Network Harborne' branding.

Possibly. In fact, a green Network Harborne may work better, as opposed to the (what I assumed) was an orange branding?  Correct me if i'm wrong. Tbh, most areas should get a 'Network...' branding - Network Handsworth? 16, 74, 75, 101...

The issue with Network branding is it focuses on one bit of the route. What relevance does Network Harborne have for someone using southern sections of the 22/23/24/29/99? Especially for the 99... Why not Network Northfield for the 29/61/63 etc? It artificially segments bits of the network and ends up looking pretty stupid.

I prefer it when individual routes are branded or corridors with a genuine large section of common route eg Sutton Lines-all go to Sutton and not much beyond whereas Harborne routes continue way past Harborne...

Isn't the problem with branding that it isolates buses to particular routes, we saw that at PE when 4811 - 4829 were branded for the 9, this meant that these buses started to accumulate heavy mileages, thats why if routes need to be branded, i would like to see some kind of automated branding operated by the driver. This way, all routes could be branded and it would mean that any bus could operate on any route (within reason) and buses mileages would be evened out over the fleet.
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).

I don't see the issue with it. If a large number of routes share a common section of route to create an extremely high frequency then a common branding (if that's your thing) is sensible. Routes like the 22, 23 and 24 don't go huge distances once they go beyond the Harborne boundary (Barnes Hill or Punch Bowl) and the 29 has only recently started to become overly long.

Inner Circle Branding? Would love to see what Circular brandings would look like, y'know, to compare it to their more creative designs a few years back on the Mercs (whilst at Hockley Garage)
