Brighton and Hove are at it again !

Probably another withdrawal as 604 is part of the oldest batch in the fleet.

Ouch! For those not on Facebook, Birmingham Mail has more details:

This is also in the Express and Star... The Birmingham Mail is famed for its shoddy reporting quality...

They seem to be the exact same? I see no difference in the report quality.

I can't find any article online that actually explains what happened, other than 'a bus and a car collided'. I can't even picture how it happened, as Harborne Road is one-way, and there are traffic lights at that junction; the car must have either jumped the red light from Highfield Road, or been coming the wrong way down Harborne Road!

Incorrect, Birmingham Mail is part of the Trinity Mirrror group. Express & Star is part of the Claverley Group.

No they're definitely not!

The Express & Star is still one of the last independent newspapers in the country, part of the MNA group and still owned by the same family that has owned it for Many Years

The Birmingham Mail is owned by Trinity Mirror Group who also own the Daily Mirror

Probably came via a syndicated news feed. Or lazy journalism! ;)

Having seen the flattened hedge and damaged tree this morning I can only assume that one vehicle (most likely the car I would guess) has gone through a red light and the two have collided causing the bus to swerve up the pavement and into the tree. Its a good job nobody was stood on that corner waiting to cross at the time.

if it's of any interest, there was a B7RLE, the same one involved in the crash I presume, at the back of Birmingham Central this afternoon. Looked like it had just arrived as there was a Mansfield Truck in front of it, unless it was being hooked up to be taken away for repairs...
