Boo. The bus station supervisor said 14:45 81 bus is broken down... 😒 Was looking forward to go on 634.

@P419 EJW, @the trainbasher - 638 was the slowest, worst B6 at BC on the 636 back in 2012. It would crawl up Mucklows Hill at about 3-4mph, and would struggle to accelerate down hill! Don't try to slow the thing down as the brakes were either on or off!

Even still, better that then the E200's!

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

638 definately has a bad and well known reputation. As for 634, why they decided to trial it on WN81 the mind boggles after all the occassions of crawling up The Holloway on the old 62A. However, if you "give it the beans" before you start to go up the hill, you'll just about do it

And then before you know it you're 10 mins late. Bet you're glad not to have to suffer the NXWM timings on some routes @Liverpool Street

You're too right, @the trainbasher. Just been looking at the Great Park service timetables... 41 minutes of a night for the 98 end to end, and 24 minutes for the X64 from Square Peg to Woodcock Hill.. No thank you!

I need to compare the times between timing points on the Bristol Road 61 / 3 and the GP X64 / 98.

ade

3601 on the 49 yesterday morning.

Trident 4609

Saw a 200* B7 on the 126 yesterday afternoon (Think it was 2005)

1904 is on WA89 today. It has been a while since an Omnilink operated the 89 on a Sunday

1627 243/244
1620, 1642 276

Trident 4609

It appears the 140/241 has gone back to B7 operation on a Sunday.

As mentioned by Matt 1627 is on the 243/4. Came into Dudley about 18:40-18:45

Also 2007 is on the 126 this evening. Replaced 4544 which was taken back to garage by an engineer for vehicle servicing. It worked the 19:05 ex W'ton

Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).
