Bear in mind that the X6 benefits from there being no through trains between Coventry and Leicester.  Also, X6 fares are £7 single and £10 return according to De Courcey's website.

An X900 would have to have fares close to, if not matching, NXWM 900.  If it attracted mainly pensioners travelling end to end, would it make any money?

In years gone by I've pondered over the possibility of fast through buses via Coventry to Birmingham from Nuneaton, Rugby and Leamington, operated by (say) Midland Red South, but sadly I couldn't see them succeeding.

The fact that the 900 is all stops between Yardley Swan and Coventry (and is the local bus service along Holyhead Road) indicates that it needs shorter-distance passengers as much as through traffic.

The 957 may become quicker if the council go ahead with a proposed bus lane along Lode Lane from Land Rover to the Town Centre, in this direction only!
