Confirmed by the depot..
There will be 6 electric converted double deckers..
35146, will join the 5 Streetdecks currently at Leicester (which are due to leave in the next few weeks)..
All will be given new number plates, and new fleet numbers - they now start 7**** etc
E400's that remain will leave once program is complete.
From Sunday PVR (including EMA, Amazon & Aircoach) will be 92 buses.
It does mean Amazon will also be using 2 electric double deckers (leaving 22 for main service in Leicester).

The Amazon runs have been using 2 electrics for some time. There's no reason why they can't help out on the city routes during the day if needed.
The EMA contract will, presumably, reduce the PVR by 4 (5 buses allocated) when it finishes shortly..

That's correct, they have been running the electrics on the 2 Amazon services already, although according to the depot it's technically still a diesel route (for now)!

Yes PVR will reduce by 4 once the EMA ends and also when Air coach finishes (end of October) there will be further reduction. However as of this Sunday - it's 92. Due to the service changes. This is the largest PVR they've had for a long time!

Not sure whether the Evora's will be stored or sent elsewhere for winter.

An earlier suggestion was that the 5 at EMA are actually on lease and will simply be returned when the contract finishes.

The last time the PVR was this high was around 2008.

Think the PVR is only going up by 1 for now (to allow the extra bus to run the 18/19) then when aircoach finishes that's 4 less buses.

Isn't Aircoach pvr = 3, with 4 buses......or even from this week's reduced frequencies a pvr of just 2 ?

I believe there's an extra 1 on 15 too to make it more reliable.

Amazing if true, there's a 15 usually at the terminus and another just sitting waiting in Charles St much of the time.

Looks like 63523 could be out today 1st time in about 15 months

I find it odd that the EMA contract finishes soon surely you need some sort of P & R all year round albeit reduced

No, too few passengers. EMA just leaves the short stay car parks open out of the summer months - it's only walking distance from the terminal building.

Mayfield

Amazing, would never have thought that
