4241 has now arrived at Walsall

Hopefully we will get some of the early NX repainted done after 4241 comes back

Those that went un-retrimmed last time round with connector bars & new deliveries that arrived during 2007 could really do with being top priority next i.e. 4738 onwards

I agree fully with that - the "un-retrimmed" Geminis and Tridents certainly need attention. Externally and internally, some of them are looking very scruffy.

That is why 4519 is now at Walsall being done!

I can understand vehicles with a longer life expectancy like Geminis and mid life Enviro or others being done but given there will be 250 new buses next year, that should see off some tridents and certainly the following year's deliveries - perhaps the worst Tridents and ALX B7TLs will be first to go? I'm always amazed the perseverance with 4135!!!

Should any Tridents or B7TL's be withdrawn in subsequent years, they are young enough to be sold on to smaller operators for further service on schools etc rather than being scrapped, and will probably be in demand as operators wouldn't have to go to the cost of converting them to single door format as per acquired ex London examples. Any that are refurbished it would add to their book value & make them more attractive on the used market for onward sale/command a higher asking price.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

I spent 3 hours riding around Wolverhampton, Dudley and West Brom yesterday and didn't see a single vehicle in TWM livery - the end is nigh!

Still 12, but I think all the bodywork repairs have been completed on 4265; 4297; 4592; 4627 & 4723 so WB & WN look like the next two garage to be free of the old livery

Two more buses to add to the repaint list
BC have sent 4187 to Walsall early last week, this has now gone to Trailways so may get a full paint
AG have sent 2112 over to Walsall so looks like the second of that batch to get the proper red

I'm sure its been confirmed as back out already, not sure whether it was re-trimmed as well though?

Yes, see about 5 messages up on this page

Yes - missed that one! Echoing Winston's question, do we know if it was re trimmed or just a repaint?

Stuharris 6360

Always thought PE would be high up the list of garages getting rid of the old livery, but thanks to WB sending 1668 to PE and PE not getting rid at the first opportunity, it now appears PE might be one of the last !!
Pensnett is my local garage. Favourite bus of all time is Fleetline 6360 (KON 360P).
