Have I missed something? It's the same bus repainted and panelled with a dash repaired with marginally different panels. By the way the main reason it looks diffrrent is the black paint below the windscreen. Handrails simply repainted as R954JYS was on refurb. Then seats retrimmed...!!

DiamondDart, may I suggest you travel on said bus in its current form before posting so confidently...

I have to agree. Rotala and EYMS own the copyright to their logos and unless consent has been given they should not be reused anywhere.

Tony has used the logos of dozens of operators on the index page of the main site. I'm sure he would not have done so if he was breaking any sort of copyright regulation.

Tony may also have permission to use them, Winston

Yes, although unless he has contacted each operator for explicit permission (which he may well have done) then I can't see the difference between that and a member using a logo as a display picture

And after: See attached photo

I do admit comparing these two photo's at the similar angle there are a lot of differences!  :P Side destination moved places and all the windows are different, particularly noticeable on the furthest window to name just a couple.

Plus I can't understand why Diamond would re-trim into Stagecoach moquette rather than their usual blue and white striped covering!

Call in the Thunderbirds, Doctor Who or whoever your preference for intergalactic mystery solving is!

It does seem to have a 'lot of parts' from one of this batch used in the refurbishment

It's strange as I doubt Rotala wod have used these parts with 20354 available for parts and 20254 as well... It also seems unlikely they would buy parts just to repair 30904 as given its age it surely would not be worth it.

Unless it was refurbed at Preston with some old Stagecoach trim lying about offering a cheap way of putting it back on the road.

I look at the photo posted above in Kiddy, and I immediately think of this. https://www.flickr.com/photos/williamsonm/6783950155/

Nah it can't be, the original had bonded windows, the bus in your pic clearly has rubbers with the surround painted black or am I missing something?

Finally, someone who actually arees with me hallelujah I was beginning to think I was going off my rocker

I'm no expert but if they bought one of the ex stageys from the scrapline, could they have transplanted the body onto W904s original chassis to save rebuilding/parts costs? I'm pretty sure something similar was done with one of the NX Presidents?
