W904 JNF

I'm struggling to find ANY evidence to suggest that's not W904. Sure, it's got different lower front dash panels but I'd expect that after rtc damage repair. The entrance / lack of ramp can be explained similarly. The original seats were utterly crap anyway.

There's no changes above the waistrail. The only other changes I can see are a modification to the waistrail trim & an added advert frame (since the last time I 'graphed it), nothing that I'd be shocked to see after repaneling.

I know bus 'cloning' happens (& I could quote you at least two current W.Mid ops that have done so, neither of which are connected with Rotala), but I'm fairly sure you're barking up the wrong tree here.

Why would Rotala want to clone a bus that had been off the road for a long time, there is no gain at all in doing that. As it had been off the road for some time it would have to be presented for a fresh MoT at which time the Vosa representative should have checked the chassis plate to confirm it was the correct vehicle. As long as the chassis number matched that with the DVLA then keeping the registration is legal, whatever yo do to the body, even build a brand new on on it.

The only time you really gain out of cloning is by putting a registration of a vehicle that has current Mot/Tax/Insurance on one that doesn't

Yes but if you look at my picture you'll notice the drivers dashboard is slighty different to that of W902/03/05/06 etc and the back end looks different too

OK so tell us what vehicle you think this is then!

Rotala do not own any older similar vehicles, so you reckon they went out and bought one from somewhere and instead of just putting it into service, they illegally cloned it and risked police/vosa action for no gain. Vosa also failed to notice this at MoT.

The posts I deleted above blatantly said it was a clone and I will not allow any libel on here

Have I missed something? It's the same bus repainted and panelled with a dash repaired with marginally different panels. By the way the main reason it looks diffrrent is the black paint below the windscreen. Handrails simply repainted as R954JYS was on refurb. Then seats retrimmed...!!

It would surprise me greatly. I've spent over 3 years paying close attention & reporting re: Rotala group vehicles for all manner of 'defects'/irregularities that might attract vosa attention. Vehicle cloning, either intentional or otherwise, is something that I hadn't noted.

I don't think there is anything wrong with Will using the Rotala logo as his profile picture. He is not benefitting or gaining any profit from it and it does not suggest any affiliation with the company.

It's just some gobs**** trying to be picky I'm sure if there had of been a problem with it Tony would of asked me to remove it although I have now just to keep peace

The facts:

The bus registered as W904 JNF has a different interior to the rest of the batch. Grey/silver seat frames, Stagecoach trim, red handrails, grey dash and mouldings, no dips in seat frames like on other buses of the same batch, no suggestion of anything else but they are the facts.

Sam, know one has a problem with you/anyone else highlighting the differences between 'W904JNF' currently / when new & the rest of the batch. Tony deleted Will's post as he was implying that Rotala had put the registration 'W904JNF' on a completely different bus & of informing the authorities without any hard evidence to back up his claim, which is 'libelous'. There could be a perfectly logical explanation for the difference i.e. W904JNF could have sustained front end accident damage and was repaired with parts from an older ALX200 / inc dash & the doorway was rebuilt without a ramp etc. Winston

I have to agree. Rotala and EYMS own the copyright to their logos and unless consent has been given they should not be reused anywhere.
