4908 on 47E to Belgrave M'way.

I dare say this is a service extra, did you notice it was possibly a driver trainer or traffic officer driving? They do this on a regular basis, when events dictate. As when there be cricket on, or homosexual events etc.

It just changed to Cofton Hackett now. I am on 4328, followed 4908 until there. 4908 just passed me, from what I could see through the watery window, it seemed a normal bus driver, a white short sleeved shirt and a red tie with fluorescent green hi-vis jacket.

White shirt mate, service extra I'm thinking. They wouldn't give 4908 on a Saturday, there's plenty of Tridents in.

No out on normal running board 45-68, late night board out until after midnight

Seriously? Any ideas why? This has surprised me! Surely they can't be that short of buses?

Why not use an Enviro if one's available? I'm sure they're more fuel efficient than a Trident (not much is less fuel efficient!)

@Matt, they aren't supposed to use E400's on the Pershore Road, unless it's a short running board. And my point is that Tridents are abundant of a Saturday so I want to know the reason as to why it was allocated before checking if a Trident was available. I know it isn't the first time so I'll put it down to allocation issues from the heat over the last couple of days and possible ABS issues from the rain we've had recently. Then the ABS sensor gets wet, it gives the warning lamp on the dash board, and the vehicle must be changed if it doesn't go off after vehicle isolation.

One thing Daimler Mercedes Benz are good at is producing excellent Diesel engines, I do miss the sound of the 0405n for all its faults you couldn't knock that 12 litre engine.

Also, an OmniCity was on the 46 today, Can't remember which (not 4780, as that was used in the parade. But it did leave garage later in the day with a driver, so must have been a change bus for something)

Trident 4609

Not rare for a Saturday but WN28 was fully Spectra operated today. The Spectra's being 4002,4005 and 4012. There is usually atleast one B6 allocated on a Saturday.
