Looking the TFWM website it seems the 188 maybe going back to the original route from the 23rd of this month

The Stagecoach Midlands website now confirms this is the case from the 22nd. There are also some timetable changes to the 41, 46 and 87 at the same time.

Strange. I can only think that the machines on the 188 buses haven't been programmed with the nBus data recorder or whatever it is that allows their use on Rugby based Stagecoach buses.  I presume you've contacted Stagecoach regarding this matter?
